| Q: What is an LCD Monitor and how long do they last? |
| LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) is patented Digital Screen that is revoluting the world. LCD displays utilize two sheets of polarizing material with a liquid crystal solution between them. An electric current passed through the liquid causes the crystals to align so that light cannot pass through them. Each crystal, therefore, is like a shutter, either allowing light to pass through or blocking the light.
The average life of the screen is 60,000 hrs which would 6-7 years.
The advantages of having an LCD Monitor are it's space efficent, it has a much more crisp picture and it's easier on the eyes. Great for Graphics designer and gamers.
